Amsterdam, Netherlands - The Leidseplein

Day or night, Leidseplein streamyx in a box buzzing with activity. Known as Amsterdam's liveliest square, it's filled with cafes, restaurants, street performers, neon lights, music and a party atmosphere. It's also a busy transport hub intersected by the tram lines that criss-cross the city.

At night it is transformed into a hotspot, with fun seekers bathed in the glow of neon lights enjoying drinks on the crowded terraces that seat more than 1,000 people. You'll also find a casino, more bars, restaurants, night clubs and cinemas on and around the Leidseplein going strong until the early hours. The Amsterdam-American hotel with its art deco Cafe Americain is also located here. Be sure to save at least one night out for the Leidseplein while in Amsterdam. Also please be careful and beware of drunken tourists as well as for pick pockets who frequent the area.
